Citrine for Abundance

Citrine is its yellow hues symbolizing the spiritual qualities of joy, abundance, and transmutation. Citrine is also known as the Merchant's Stone, due to its ability to transmute energies quickly and easily, facilitating transfers of energy from one to another.

Citrine is a transparent, yellow variety of Quartz, ranging in colour from pale to golden yellow, honey or almost brown, and may contain rainbow or sparkle inclusions. The name comes from the French word citron, meaning lemon.

Citrine can be made by heat treating Amethyst. The more orange citrine is often indicative of this, especially when it is a “geode” piece. The lighter and more clear the citrine is, the more “real” it is. However, there is a beautiful smokey citrine, which is citrine with smokey quartz and this is a beautiful alchemical crystal to work with.
